Valley Falls is home to a large homeless community, but many people are too busy with their lives and never notice the less fortunate.

"I know what most people think about a person like myself. And they would be half right, but only half. I am here, in part due to a bad life choice. My wife passed away only three years into our marriage, and I ended up turning to alcohol. I stayed on a downward spiral and lost my job and my house. Now I am here. I know what people think when they see me or others like me. I just wish they knew there was more to us than dirty layabouts.
