Tyler ​Lanny is a young skateboarder hoping to break into the professional leagues. He has faced many challenges in life, but he never lets the world keep him down. Every time he falls, he gets back up stronger than before.

"My mom left when I was five, and I have never really connected with my father. Skateboarding was just the thing I could do. It helped put the world in perspective. When I am practicing routines or working on nailing a trick, everything else fades away. That's how I made it through middle and high school. I planned on going pro, but my senior year I was diagnosed with scoliosis. That was a blow. I thought my life was over. I quit skating and fell into a slump. I kept asking myself, 'What was the point?' Then, once I realized I didn't care if I had scoliosis or not, I was going to chase my dreams. So after nearly a year off the board, I got back on, and I am stronger than ever. Nothing in life, not even my own body, is going to hold me back."
